With beer names like Seven Sister's Sour Ale, Hot Lemon Pepper Blonde Ale, Sweet Treat Cherry Wheat, and Novillos, you know you are entering the world of craft beer. These are several of the beers that you will enjoy at the Bullquarian Brewhouse, just off the downtown square not far from the historic Courthouse. Co-owners Ethan and Michelle Kister’s zodiac signs are Taurus the Bull and the Age of Aquarius, which made for a good match when they decided to open a Taproom. What started out as a hobby has progressed to a successful family business. “Three or four of our customers’ favorites are always on tap,” said Ethan. “And then we rotate through another 55 different beers or so depending on the season.” Ethan also is a drummer in the band Carper Diem and is very connected to the local music scene. If you’re into a variety of music including Bluegrass, Celtic, Americana, Blues, Rock and Roll, then the Bullquarian Brewhouse proves you can have great craft beer and great music, too. On the first and third Wednesdays of the month, a core group of Traditional Irish musicians lead an open session featuring plenty of Celtic favorites to enjoy. “Come and listen to the tunes or bring your instrument and join in,” encourages organizer Dave Carper, who plays a variety of
